In search for other Rims ..... What about MAK rims?

Hi everybody,
In search for other rims in size 18" I staggered through many brands and simulation programms. repeatedly my eye felt on the MAK Highlands in gunmetal-mirror ......
A bit of photoshopping resulted in the next picture and I'm curious what you think about it.
My V40 D4 color is Osmium Grey and the gunmetal is supposed to have the same (?) blue shimmering ........ also the forms of the rim are coming back in the V40 .........
(ok how do I post a picture from my album inhere??)

this link goes to the album ....(?)

Should also mention that an Eibach kit is waiting to be installed (-30mm front and back)

They look good, they're very similar to the Serron alloys on my mums Golf. One thing I do like about the ixions is that they are a breeze to clean with 5 wide spokes, some intricate wheels can be a lot of work.

Suit the car quite well. Let me know how you get on with the fitment. I am struggling to find any reasonably priced 18" to upgrade from my 17" standard r design rims that i like.

Did think about some pro race 1.2. Put they seem to be on a lot of boy racer cars so that put me off

Today fitted my Eibach pro kit.
A lot of improvement on handling!! Should have done this a year ago!
Les body roll and less diving when braeking. My wife and kids are happy with the improvement. They tended to get ill with the standard R springs. Now this problem is over ;-) .
I changed my taste in rims. Saw the BBS SR vulcano's in 18" !! These will be the new ad on set. Dunlop sport maxx 18 225/40 is going to be my new tire.

These mak rims seems to be identical to the new ixion 18" rims - but much cheaper than the Volvo price:

I have seen cheap knock'offs (not saying the MAK rims are, but...) fail in a dramatic way. Not a good thing when it happens at speed...
They tend to be made out off chesium instead of aluminium.

They are not cheap, they are cheaper than Volvo ones. That's different. Anyway I have no experience on the matter. You would suggest to use only Volvo rims?
