Front Power seat

Hi all just wondering if front passenger seat head rest can be removed to get extra load into car. It has power seats and the back rest does not recline back or forward much to lay flat any ideas

The passenger seat should fold fully flat: take a look behind it down by the end of the runners and you'll see two catches. Pull these towards you and push the seat back forward and it goes completely down. You'll need to move the seat fully back and the back of the seat base as low as it can go to allow the headrest to miss the glovebox. Once down you can the move it forward a bit to wedge it.

I notice that the original poster said power seats. I don't think the fold-flat business is possible with a powered passenger seat. In addition (and perhaps things have changed since we bought ours in 2014), the fold-flat passenger seat was an option.

In the U.K., the fold-flat seat was standard I believe. It certainly was on my previous MY13 SE lux, and is on my MY16. Power seats may be a different matter however.

Interesting - we had to specify the fold-flat seat (it was a must for me because of my habit of carrying longish bits of wood). I can't imagine a power seat being fold-flat, but perhaps that's a failure of imagination on my part!

My car had all the toys when I purchased it used.
It has the Xenium Pack, which includes the Power Passenger Seat.
However the Forward Folding Passenger Seat is in the Options, which has been specified in my car, so it looks like having electric seats
does not mean you can forward fold the passenger seat.
SDP has the operation bang on, however the term folding flat, still leaves the back of the seat quite high.

Hmm, I'm UK based and have an electric passenger seat that folds flat. Maybe I'm lucky! (It has the xenium pack which I believe the power seats were part of). I honestly thought, in the UK at least, that all of them had this feature.

Mmm another one for me to check up on !!

I also have the Xenium pack a which I know included the passenger power seat, but I'm sure I can recall the write up saying something like "Powered Fold Flat Passenger Seat" ?

But I've noticed that if you want to lay the seat flat you need to operate it fully forward, then lower the back down, but as Stuart explains it still sits up at a slight angle on the rear seat ?

Maybe theres something else on the seat to get it further down ?

Afterall, I'ts only now after owning the car for 12 months that I've learnt it doesnt have an actaul dip stick

Jactac, have a look for the two catches at the lower back edge of the seat like sdp says. The seat should then tip forward, and tuck down under the glove box area, not backwards onto the rear seat.
