Sill Mouldings

I am thinking of getting some Sill Mouldings for the driver and front passenger sides. I've noticed these on the Volvo accessories page and I was wondering are they available generally or only from Volvo dealers?.

I got a front pair as I was amazed that there is no protection on the sills at all, and they are quite wide and easily scratched.

Got them here:

A lot of cash for what is really just a short strip of plastic. Might just get protection film for the rear doors.

V40 D2 R-Design.Passion Red.Winter Pack, Rain sensor wipers, Rear park assist, grocery floor, Tempa spare, cruise control,3 years servicing.

Bought mine from Volvo and they look good and protect the paintwork. These cars aren't the easiest of cars to get in and out of, are they!

Don't bother with the rear door protectors. They're really poor, look knaff and cost a fortune. You could buy a generic online that would be just as good.

R Design D2. Titanium grey. 18" Ixion alloys. Rear privacy glass. Cruise control. Rear park assist.

Thanks guys for the suggestions. It amazes me how something as simple and I'm sure cheap to produce, don't come as standard on what afterall is supposed to be a premium product. I paid close to €28,000 for my V40. Thanks again

Cool

I've just looked for them on the Volvo website and could only find them for the rear. http://www.volvocars.com/uk/all-cars...3-898af987e627

Have Volvo discontinued the front ones?

My SE came with these fitted. They look good, but apart from that offer no real benefit?

They are still available. I've sourced them through a Volvo dealer in Belfast for £42 +vat for the front pair.

Volvo customers in Ireland don't get the same standard level of equipment as in other countries.
In the UK for instance Volvo offer three years free servicing, and three years free breakdown assistance. In Ireland there is no free servicing and only two years breakdown assistance. While Hyundai for instance offer five years free servicing and five years warranty.
