Hello my son has a V40 T4 design with the 17" Alloys i was thinking of upgrading to the 19" volvo alloys, i would imagine it has the steering stops and software upgrades, is it just a straight swap???,the car does have self parking although he's never used it

Kind regards Karl

Hi. If you have 225/45 tyres on 7.5x17 rims you should already have the steering stops. Sincerly I don't know about any issues in case of no software updates. Rolling diameter is almost equivalent.
I know a couple of guys at the local italian forum switching from 205/55 R16 to 224/40 R18 without any steering stops and software update and no issues with rubbing or similar but they have no self parking option.

Thanks for your information, i took the chance bought the alloys and fitted them on, no issues at all, plus it looks great.
