Hi everyone,
I currently drive a V40 D2 with around 65k on the clock, for the past few days the car has developed a problem. When I go to turn it on and drive away the steering wheel wont turn. I turned the car on and off around 4 times and after a minute or so the steering started to work again. I also noticed today that the steering would not return to centre by itself.
The steering not turning only happens (at the moment) after the car has sat overnight but if I make multiple journeys throughout the day it is fine. I hear the steering wheel lock mechanism click to suggest that it has unlocked it for me when starting the car... so i am at a loss? What could it be?
