Hi!

I am about to change my old car and now there is a used 2015 Volvo v40 D3 momentum atm on my radar. Everything looks peachy except there is over 130k km on the clock. I do have the full service history and since the car is from Germany (Hannover), it is very likely that the previous owner used the car for the daily trips from one city to another on the autobahn.

So what is your collective opinion, is it worth buying a Volvo with that mileage? What are the main things I should be afraid of? Is there something very Volvo specific I should check before buying?

Since I would buy this from the local car dealer, I have no way of actually talking to the previous owner, so there is also a possibility that it was used as a Taxi, in that case I would be screwed anyway :)

Hello,

I don't know how it's work in Germany, but in France, there's no Volvo V40 as Taxi: it's too small!
Worst case is an old "rent car", but I think it's mostly D2 motor...not D3
What's important on 2015 model is to determinate which motor is inside:
- January to September/October ==> 5 cylinders
- October/November to december ==> 4 cylinders

After that, I don't know what to said, it's a great car!
Maybe you can upload some pictures...

regards
