I have connected my phone via bluetooth to the car and have no problem receiving/sending phone calls when the infotainment unit (radio) is on. However today I noticed that unless the infotainment unit is switched on there is no indication that bluetooth is working. On my last car (Nissan Note) bluetooth worked as long as the ignition was switched on. So do I need to have the infotainment unit on to receive calls (I know I need to switch it on to make a call).
Am I able to receive phone calls?

Found out the answer to this. You can't receive phone calls via the blue tooth system unless the infotainment system is switched on. A bit of a strange system as every other car I have had blue tooth on, the blue tooth telephone part of the system has come live with only the ignition being turned on and the engine running.
