Hi all
My 2103 r design 1.6 d2 failed its MOT on a broken front spring. Also advisories for 2xtyres and brake pads/disks.
Pretty grim 馃檨馃檨

I have changed disks and pads (on other cars - not a v40) in the past, and feel happy enough to have a go on my V40. Unless anyone is aware of any issues that will take it beyond my fairly basic DIY skills.

I have also changed springs before (on an Alfa 159) and feel that if I can get a step by step guide, I would have ago. Again, is anyone aware of any hidden issues I would encounter or that would make it a workshop only affair?

Have been quoted 拢650-拢700 for the lot (拢250 of which is the spring).

Cheers all

its focus bits on the brakes and suspension, so is straight forward. the only complication I had with the disc was not having a T50 for the retaining screw

Not changed one on a V40 myself, done loads of spring changes on other cars though. If you have set of spring compressors and a decent toolkit combined with a bit of patience it should be perfectly doable at home.
