Looking for some information, I have a V40 D2 and the cam belt is due to be changed. Would you recommend changing the water pump at the same time.
Thanks for you help in advance

im looking at the same, and im advised same as other makes YES, change the pump. its not likely to mechanically fail, but is likely to leak, and theres almost no labour to change it while the belt etc is off

Picture this - you change the pulleys, belt, tensioners and miss the water pump - thus neglecting another moving/rotating element in the equation. Water pump has its moving, friction therefore I would say - change it (it will be more to invest, but you have your peace of mind).
