Hi all, would anyone know if you can add a fuel-driven additional heater after purchase? I'm getting a used 2016 D4 and I've noticed this is purchasable for cars in Scandinavian countries (this is an import from a hot country). I did a quick google and there are after market things around, but just wondering if you anyone got one from Volvo or at least added something later.

I had a search of the forum (as this has been asked before) but can't find an answer so possibly it hasn't been achieved.
Nothing is impossible - but you would need to source the parts, fit them, (somehow tap into the fuel lines and coolant lines) and get Volvo to activate the software in the infotainment system to control it.
The only part I can see on ebay is the additional water pump that the system uses and they are about £120. (so I am guessing it won't be a cheap project)

Better tell your car insurers on this modification.
Check road registration regs in your country as well

I also have a D4 VEA 2015 model and i must say even for a diesel 2litre lump without any external heater the screen vent does seem to warm up quite quickly with the front demister button pressed.
I think you might be surprised
