Front drivers and passengers interior door handles in my 2013 T5 feel squeaky and a bit cheap. Extra noticeable because the rest of the interior feels relatively high quality.

Anyone else notice this and manage to fix it?

Aren't they made of chromed metal? I'm sure they are the same as the ones in my S90 and they don't feel cheap.

Is it possible that they have just loosened over time with use (as you don't mention the rear ones)

The only thing I could think of is to take them out, clean the mechanism, replace any stretched springs and reassemble (or more expensively buy new ones)

If is it specifically the squeaking that is the issue then maybe try buying a can of silicon spray and spraying some into the handle mechanisms. Saves a job dismantling stuff and might be enough to quieten it down. If the noise is coming from the parts behind the door card though you'll have to remove it to get behind there and investigate. Luckily the job of removing the door cards on the V40 is actually pretty simple.

Sorry, to clarify, I mean this handle.

It noticeably flexes and squeaks when opening and closing the door.

To be honest I thought all V40s were built this way, all 4 doors feel pretty similar, but the front two are slightly worse.
Its given me hope knowing that you guys don't have this issue. I think some gap filler underneath the arm rest may help (along the green line), there seems to be a small gap between the plastic and leather.

As V40D2 says, it may have been incorrectly reassembled as mine was always solid.
