Anyone else got a D3 Auto?

Am still experimenting with different forms of driving to see what kind of economy I can get out of it, but even driving smoother than Smoothy McSmooth I haven't been able to get >50mpg

Would be interested to hear other owners' opinions...

At the moment, I am working in the city, so driving to work is very rare.

Saying that, this week I have been driving in, and the fuel economy is not great because of the cold weather and tons of slow-accelerate-slow-accelerate scenarios.

However, I did get very good returns just after I had bought the car a few months ago, had a few very long (steady 70mph) motorway runs and got about 650 miles from a full tank, which was very impressive.

Next drive was a bit more stop start and the figure dropped to about 575 ?

Trip computer shows my current local town driving is getting me about 37mpg - although I haven't really had the time to do proper brim to brim comparisions.

To be totally honest, I am quite happy with the car overall, so a little drop in MPG figures is not too much of a concern. I'm sure plenty of folks here will say the same - enjoy the car

With my now-3500Km CC D3 automatic, I'm getting just short of 50mpg (5.65L/100Km) in a mixture of local and Autobahn driving. As I seek to drive economically (no hard braking or acceleration), I'd hoped for better. I hope to see an improvement as the motor loosens up.

I have sone 14000 km now since october and see similar figures from my d4 auto.
Around the 50 mpg mark. (Calculated at fill up, not trip computer).
Best so far is about 53-54 mpg, if my l/km to mpg conversion is correct.
Roughly, about 10-20% city driving.
Eco mode does help a bit in cities and on slow country roads, but not so much on highways.
