Has anyone noticed a difference between a D4 in an SE and R Design trim?

I've had a test drive in a V40 SE with the new D4 engine and while it's just just a much fun as my C30 D5 , I couldn't help but notice the engine having more of a clater during normal driving, whereas I have more of an induction roar in my D5, which always makes me smile.

Could this be due to the D4 now only being a 4 cylinder or a different state of tune between the two versions?

It is because you have lost that 5 pop so you do not get the growl anymore

Mine's silent ?

Some sound from exhaust but not of crescendo of power, so for me I would have accepted a little more exhaust note but no issue
