How do I remove the egr on my 2013 1.6 d2? Have loosened the torx bolts on the top of the egr, but cannot loosen it at all.
Feels like there are other bolts to loosen - eg the two torx bolts nicely obscured by the pipe running to the intercooler. To access those, it looks like I need to remove a fair bit.
Before I embark on the mammoth task - am I barking up the wrong tree?

Or, as I have no fault codes, am I best to leave well alone?

Update: did a bit of research and decided to use a spray egr cleaner, sprayed into turbo intake.
Given I had no fault codes/warning lights I thought this may be a good alternative.
