Hi all,

I just felt the gear change from 1to 2 is not smooth . Anyone experienced the same? I am driving t5, 213HP auto gearbox .

You can find the following advice in the Eco driving chapter of the V40 manual: "Cars with manual transmission are started in 2nd gear under normal conditions on flat ground." This means that the first gear is used only for unfavorable conditions. This advice is given even with smaller engines like the D2. First gear is only for uphill and parking etc.

Not sure what's the deal with automatic gearbox, I'm afraid.

Hi all,

Just got back from the service centre and they just reset the gear transmission setting.now it's smooth already. Good job to the service adviser.
