As per other comments - always get it replaced and the impact material on the back is only single use and will therefore offer less protection next time.
Also with plastic bumpers often they compress allow the metal beneath to be damaged then pop back out as though nothing is wrong but beneath can be a different story.
If we talking 5mph they are supposed to resist that but if hers was damaged I'm tending to thing your may be underneath - almost certainly the foam will be.
