I'm just curious....I know that when you collect your car you cannot
expect it to have 0 kms because it has been moved around at the
dealer and all, but......how many kilometers did your V40 have when
you picked it up?

My V40 had 11km on the clock when I picked it up.

The dealer drove the car into the shop, fitted my detachable towbar, drove it to the vehicle inspection station and back to the dealer again.

So my car was second hand when I picked it up:D

Mine had 19 miles. Part of the UK PDi is a road test .... or so I am told.

Looks like I won...or lost this one! The Doncaster dealer drove rather than piggybacked my car down to Folkestone so when I sat in it, she'd done 361 miles on the first day. I think I read somewhere that Volvo will sometimes randomly select a car off the production line to road test and check everything for quality control etc.

Way back, I remember Ford at Dagenham would randomly select a car off the line, road test it, then completely dismantle it, checking everything as they went. It was never re-assembled.
