Howzit, I'm seriously considering buying a used T3 with about 91 000km (56 000 Miles) and want to know if reliability will be a concern. I took the car on a test drive and it performs beautifully and drives smooth. Noticed a problem with the aircon not cooling properly.
TIA

I've had my 2019 T3 from new, and it's never let me down yet. I appreciate that it is slightly newer than the one you are looking at, but personally I wouldn't have any significant concerns over and above any other manufacturer

Something to check... The radiator pack has enough space for leaves to collect and the bottom of the ac rad rots causing failure. not just V40, but many cars suffer. Easily fixable, and not much to worry about

Manual (2.0) or Geartronic (1.5) ?
If you choose the 2.0, then listen carefully to the engine for whining noise when revving (around 2000 rpm). If you hear whining noise, then the balance shaft module needs replacement which costs in total around 1200 euro's.
The 1.5 doesn't have this balance shaft module.

Had our 2016 66 plate CC T5 AWD since it was seven months old, and apart from normal wear and tear items like tyres and brakes, the car has so far needed two new suspension springs, internal rear view mirror (glass fell off) and a sensor which controlled the adaptive lights.

Similar here for my 2016 CC T5; one new suspension spring, rear mirror glass.
Oh, I forgot about the whole new engine due to a crack in the cylinder block!

Had my T3 Inscription for 3 years and 36000 miles, only faults were a new radar unit for the cruise control and the mirror fell off in the cold weather. Both fixed on warranty. No issues otherwise, nice spec, very comfy and still looks good.

Had a 2018 T3 (1.5). Tends to do a bit better with higher than 95 (so 97-98RON) fuel. Not as economical as other 1.5s from other make, but it's also a lot heavier!
