We'll, we've now had our first 2 weeks with our D2 R-Design, and have been impressed so far.

Had our first test drive at the start of the year as part of Volvo's Freedom campaign in the UK - got to drive an XC90 and a V40. Very impressed and have now managed to get one (well, the OH has) on a lease. Picked up 2 weeks ago, then had the first week all to ourselves with it on holiday - how's that for good timing.

First week back at work and we hit a piece of kerb end sticking out into the road. Result - 2 large lumps in the sidewalls of the passenger side front and rear tyres. Lease company won't replace so insurance claim required, but now a rumbling noise coming from front when going straight and round left hand bends - sounds like a wheel bearing noise so more investigation required. Otherwise, great car so far

Noise could just be tyre damage noise, here's hoping!

Hmmm. 2 new tyres on already and still the noise is there. Sound like a similar noise to when wheel bearings have gone on our other cars.

Nothing visibly broken in the wheel arch area and tyre replacement people said they checked balancing and alignment. possible doubt whether they checked alignment but the rumble sounds like its more mechanical. ho hum.
