I have my music collection stored on a USB stick and am ale to play them using the Media>USB option. But, the songs are listed in a random order and not in alphabetical order. Is there any way of sorting how these are listed on the display?

this has been asked before, do a search to find out - it was discussed in great detail. Personally I gave up using USB and bought a small Ipoo Nano. I found on a 16GB stick that it just took way too long to start anything up. With an Icr*p the processing is done on board the Ijunk so there is no delay.

I don't like Apple.

Other alternative is streaming via Bluetooth, that works very well for us as well.

It's very possible that the files show in the order they were copied onto the stick. I have recopied from one to another using a file manager and this corrected the problem. The search function is useful too.

I have an old 10gb mp3 player that has a new lease of life via the USB. Battery charges, music and podcasts run faultlessly and reacts quickly.

I created a folder for each album and then they could be sorted that way, there again buy an Ipod nano that has a faulty battery (does not hold charge) or the screen is broken, off ebay and just have that plugged in all the time, then you also get full ipod functionallity for a few quid

You could try one of these

NB this works for me (mine has a faulty battery and screen) but it will depend on exactly what the fault is as to it is will really work

I use an 8Gb USB stick. It has folders rock, pop, indie etc. Each folder has an artist, then each artist has an album or albums. I find it simple enough to scroll to the music I want using the control on the steering wheel. Alternatively I sometimes choose random in the set up menu and can drive for weeks without hearing the same tune twice. Pretty much all I listen to in the car.
