I know Volvo UK only have 2,500 V40 to sell this year. But I'm a little surprised not to have seen any on the road yet (excluding dealership demonstrators)....Or even on here.

I agree there should be a few now we're into September. However on the plus side I'm happy to have a more exclusive car. :)

I'm still without a delivery date. Call me impatient but the wait is driving me up the wall :)

I'm still wondering how popular it will be to start with...
People who can afford it straight away who already like volvo - generally the older generation
People who would love one - too expensive
People who are in the market for a 25k+ car would no doubt go for the rivals as 'image' is more important than getting an amazing car...

I'm very torn...I love how exclusive even the c30 still is which was launched in 2007! I would love for the v40 to be similar but then...what does that mean for volvo?! Poor sales etc

Here in the Netherlands they are finally getting in the road.... As for popularity... Volvo NL already exceeded their expected sales figures...
So we will see a good number of them soon...

I'm glad I havent seen any yet - waiting for my d2 se (passion red with TFT and rear sensors) to be deliver in next 10 days or so.

Have a c30 2.0 r desig and was worried that my budget could only stretch to a D2 - but having driven it was pleasantly suprised - there's enough torque to make do. But the prospect of twice the fuel economy and zilch road tax sealed the deal!!!

It may not convince What Car that's its the best choice - but since their votes wil always favour a 1 series, A3, golf or focus, I'm happily looking forward to something with more style and individuality.

The D2 is a fab engine. Had mine for 4 days now and very pleased with it. Plenty of torque but, don't let the revs drop too much. Averaging around 52 mpg which is good so far but would expect it to get better

With regards to What Car; They always have been pro-German. No offence to any of our German friends out there :)
