Whilst checking the car for the big return back to work tomorrow:
I checked the oil and to my dismay the reading was only showing 3/4 of the required level shown on the screen.
I will be ringing the Main Stealer tomorrow morning.:dodgy:
The D3 engine in my 2 year old C30 with 58000 miles on the clock never needed a top up between services, so I hope this is just a glitch.
My immediate reaction to this is:
(1) Was the oil at the correct level to start with,
(2) Was it checked
(3)Is the calibration sensor correct.
Either way I am not to happy, any one else had the same issue.

My oil is one third of the scale up from the minimum after 9000 km. I did not expect I would need to top up oil before the first service, but it seems I will have to.

Could it be that new engines consume more oil until they are run in?
