Was looking for a parking bay, had park assist turned on. The bay looked incredibly small, but park assist said it was big enough.

Nice one. My worry would be leaving the car there and getting a shunt front and rear as the other cars work their way out of the parking spots.

Getting out is up to you. Where I parked was a high turnover area, I assumed the cars ahead and behind me would be gone soon enough (20 mins limit). The Audi in front did leave after less than 5 mins, and there was a lot of space in front of the Audi, and behind the red car (Citroen I think).

That said - I was very paranoid anyway, and kept an eye on the car until the Audi left . The next car parked a good 3 feet away from my car ...

Despite having the car for 20 months, I only tried this feature last weekend and very impressed . It reversed into a space that l wouldn't thought possible.

Not as far as I am aware. However, since you have parking sensors all around, it shouldn't be a terribly difficult task.
