Polestar is reportedly developing a high-performance Volvo V40.
Volvo's UK managing director, Nick Connor, has revealed the model will have "at least" ten percent more power than the V40 T5. That particular car has a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine with 254 PS (187 kW / 251 hp), so we can expect the Polestar variant to produce at least 279 PS (205 kW / 275 hp). There's also word of an all-wheel drive system for sure-footed handling.
The Volvo V40 Polestar is expected to be announced at the Paris Motor Show and sales of the £30,000 (€38,285 / $46,860) model could occur in 2013.
