Alot more publicity for the new V40 recently so expect more people to find this forum - like me
The V40 seems to be attracting lots of interest in the UK at the moment but especially over in the Netherlands, where i think you lucky people (Michel) wil be taking deliveries of the first batch very soon.
Patience, it'll get more active around here as people start getting their cars
BTW, I finally managed to get a spot and test-drive an automatic (it's a pity they didn't have manual) D3 V40 two days ago and it was super! The engine is quite powerful, I got easily to 140km/h without really pushing it at all. The car was very stable on the road, with a good feeling on the steering wheel; not too strong, not too soft.
I really loved driving it, I wish I could keep it more than one hour so that I could enjoy it more!
Agreed with Wimbledon. Very few British V40s on the road at the moment. But that should change this next week and the forum will pick up. I'm just hoping they have fixed the door speaker resonance problem by the time I collect my car
17 members signed in within the last 24 hours, and that's not even counting the people who are simply browsing and have not registered yet (please register!). If each of those 17 members made only five posts, there would have been 85 new posts within the last 24 hours. The forum will be busier in due time. There will be more to discuss once more individuals have V40s. I thank those that login everyday and contribute their thoughts. The forum cannot spring into bloom without the initial momentum from the first members.
My v40 is still in the make, but last week their was a big premiere in Brugge (belgium) and I went their.
I asked to drive with the v40 D3 geartronic and they said: "here are the keys have fun "
I took it for a ride and I was blown away by the power of the car (I compared it with the audi a4 my father's has with 180BHP)
Very siked to recieve mine in a couple of weeks.
I ordered mine 08/08 and they said it will be delivered 01/10-14/10
I have noticed a whirring and a vibration when travelling on the motorway, particularly as I turn slight right.
Volvo V40 T3 R Design 1.5 petrol
Changed tyres so not an issue there, any suggestions
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone , this is my first time owning a volvo , just purchased a v40 r design on the weekend . Can I ask is , do the red and blue r design badges indicate a difference in the car? Like I say I am new to all this and not very clued up . Thanks . Paul.
I had noticed on my V40 that on occasion the driver's door wouldn't open at the end of a journey until I had unlocked all doors, so I decided to experiment.
At the end of a journey a few days ago I stopped and turned engine off. Then I pulled the door handle towards me, and unlocked then locked...
This functions only about 50% of the time in my MY16 T3 Auto, no matter the length of the journey. I don't mind too much because I prefer it not working anyway, but I'm wondering if anyone else experiences this or knows of a probable cause.
