You think that'll be really possible? Where could that be done then? I suppose that your dealer won't do something like this just if you ask them to?mrlazy said:I reckon for some of these options, well road sign information for example, its just a case of plugging the car in & 'unlocking' that particular feature.
As Andy said above - the sensors are housed in top section of the windsceen, behind the rear view mirror. I would GUESS these sensors are used for several functions. Would a dealer 'unlock' the relevant option? Unfortunately probably not, but, i'd guess it can be done.jimrask said:You think that'll be really possible? Where could that be done then? Might a chiptuner be able to do so?
It's always nice to get some extra "free" options![]()
Lucky me, i ordered the driver support pack, full park assist, winter pack and more but it has cost me £27K for D2 se Lux but i hope its worth it, only the panoramic and sat nav i excluded from the optional extrasGusGecko said:Would need to go to a authourised garage who specialise in volvo as they will have the computers to donwload software...I forget what the name is
I wanted the trip computer added to my c30, dealer wanted to put a new stalk in plus the software download and wanted £££'s of pounds I think it was nearly 400. Went to an independent volvo garage, £60... Just downloaded and stuck it on. That's it.
I can imagine the same sort of thing? Just software
Thats why i excluded the satnav.Andytech said:£1200 for sat nav is just way too expensive for this level of car. I don't think even the likes of Jaguar charge that much.
I dont think it's so easy. Road Sign Information needs front camera, not just laser sensor. As Andy said above - the sensors are housed in top section of the windsceen, behind the rear view mirror.
