My wheels are 205/50/17.
I could have 205/55/16.
It is "yellowbelly" that pushed me thinking towards that when at http://www.club80-90syncro.co.uk/Syncro_website/TechnicalPages/TRC%20calculator.htm I found out that there is a significant difference between the two tires at what is called Tyre suspension comfort value. First one gets 6.5 while the second one (the one I have) gets only 4.9. I think I will choose the first for winter (or summer now?) tires.

Try comparing the two extremes of the standard Matres 205/55 R16 with the optional Alios 225/40 R18 and the difference in the comfort value is even more marked ~ 6.5 versus 2.9.
I might have opted for the latter (if such a thing had been available! ) when I was young, but now I'm getting on in years :blush: comfort is high on my list of required attributes.

With 235/35/19
car came fitted with them don't think they give a over stiff ride compared with my previous cars a positive outcome of this size is good feedback of the road surface conditions !!
