Hi all,

I'm trying to decide whether to order a T3 or a T4. I have driven the T3 and I like it a lot, but at low speeds and 3rd gear I find that a bit more quicker response would be nicer.

I know that the T4 has the same torque, but anyone here has experience with both and knows if there is an actual difference between them at low
revs?

Another reason to decide to go for the T4 would be the option to include
in the future the polestar tuning, which as far as I know is not considered for the T3 at the moment.

Thanks a lot in advance and cheers.

The T4 is lower geared in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th which will give better acceleration in those gears.
Here's the technical data for the two variants. https://www.media.volvocars.com/global/enhanced/en-gb/models/2013/v40/model/specifications.aspx

Thanks for the link, yellowbelly.

I can see that indeed the numbers are different in the T4 from 3rd gear on
(I understand that the higher the number, the better the acceleration).

What confuses me is that if I include the D2 in the comparison it displays
exactly the same numbers as the T3. I have tried both engines and I find
this not in accordance with the actual performance of both engines....

Regards.
