Hi all,

I have just taken delivery of my brand new v40 and am loving it so far. However this is a company car and as such fitted with a tracker to monitor speed. Does anyone know if you can settle speed limiter to be on permanently? It seems to me that I have to set it for every journey but it would be useful if it never let me get above, let's say "75" mph

Thanks in advance!

As much as the idea is good, I'd not want to risk the possibly never occurring situation where I needed to accelerate above the set speed for safety reasons. Avoiding an accident can be done with the accelerator as well as the brake. Imagine sitting on the middle lane on the motorway and the car on the inside lane pulls out but doesn't see you. You're boxed in behind and to your right - the only way to avoid them may be to accelerate...if you're doing 75mph, and are limited to 75mph, they will hit you.

Pff, press the accelerator all the way down and the speed limiter is off.

It should be possible to have it on by standard.
