Hello everyone!

i’ve been a proud owner of a 2014 d4 for 6 months and i have absolutely loved the car!! however over the past month i’ve been having so many issues. i was driving one day and my alternator belt snapped and all was good and fine. i replaced the belt, recharged the battery but the car still wouldn’t start. i’ve asked a couple of other volvo owners and they’ve never experienced this? can anyone provide me with any information or if anyone has experienced this?

thanks guys!!

A common issue with engines that have timing belts is that a broken accessory drive belt can wrap around the engine timing belt or become trapped between the timing belt and one of the toothed pulleys, either snapping the timing belt as well or causing it to jump on the toothed pulley and put the engine timing out, so I would suggest checking the condition of the timing belt and the engine timing as well.
