Hi.
I have just purchased a Volvo v40 D4.
It is running software 0BC2 and map version V 30.14.02. Is this the most up to date it can be? The maps seem really outdated and I cannot find clear guidance on Volvos website

There are 3 differing map systems depending on the age of your car.

You will need a Sensus satnav software upgrade by the dealer to allow you to download maps from the link below.
This upgrade allows maps to be updated without asking for a licence key.

The upgrade cost varies per dealer, but seems to be around £85.
The latest map is 2018 for your satnav.

Search this forum for 2013 sat nav for further reading.

Not necessarily, as I say it depends on the age of the car. If there is a button with a globe like logo at the top right or the waterfall buttons you just need to download the map update to USB and put the usb stick in the socket in the centre storage box.

I think this is from a V60, but the globe button (ringed ) looks the same

The globe logo only appeared in 2014, so my info regarding pre 2014 models still stands.

See this page for verification

I didn't see the car age in the title, I was looking for it in the thread
