Hi Guys,

I am looking at replacing my front brakes I can buy some great brakes at £35 because of a 50% off deal at europarts but I have been quoted £80 to do the replacement,

I was just wondering what I would need to do the repair myself do i need any specialised caliper repressor kit or just a few other tools?

Any help or advice would be great,

Thanks,
David

A few years ago I signed up to the Halfords Brakes for Life scheme and paid to have the pads front & rear on a Merc I was driving replaced.
Since then I have had 2 BMW 2 series that had pads that required replacing and I didn't pay a penny for the pads, I only paid for the brake sensors,I think having the pads & senors fitted cost me £30. I now have my V40 covered by this scheme. Now when my pads need replacing, I will not need to pay for them. The only thing Halfords insist on, is if you change your car you have to let them know within 30 days hat you have changed vehicles.
I know Halfords is a chain, but the 2 branches I have used have never tried to sell me anything when doing the brakes.
