RE: Finally delivered

Been at the dealer this morning due to some sound resonance in the door and it's the doorpanel which causes the sound.
So they are going to remove the door panel and place some strategic felt which hopefully fixes the problem (I think it will as when I press the door panel at a certain spot the sound is gone...)

Had a visit at the dealer last Monday to have them check the resonance in the door.
They removed the door panel and adjusted some spacing with felt..
And all got fixed :)

The first 3500 km have been put on the car...
And still a very happy person with my choice...
Still don't see a lot of V40's driving around here.

Do have some small issues which have been fixed already or awaiting a fix...
Did have some rattle in the door which got fixed
When using the approach lightning for the first time when the car has been powered of a while gives an issue that the approach lightning switches on and immediately off again... Trying it a second time the lightning works as expected.
The dealer has reported the issue with Volvo Netherlands and awaiting a software fix...

Great news:) Any comment on fuel consumption? Also do you find the power ofmthe car good?

Currently doing 8.4 l/100km
Trying to get it down... But the driving style probably doesn't help ;)
The power of the car is good.... However... Do have my appointment with MTE scheduled for this Friday to have a 2nd go at tuning the car :) (1st time we ran into some version differences as what they expected to see... So they did some further work and going to retry)

RE: Finally delivered

Patrick let us know about the MTE upgrade! I am highly interested in this since I think the car needs some more torque to be perfect:) I saw the rica remap but it's only for 200hp which is not a great upgrade . Hopefully MTE can get the car to 215hp.

The consumption sounds very good! I was freightened by the test drive I had where the average was 13.3l/100km...

Personally not interested in the bhp. More eager so see a better torque number ;) I have also looked at Rica but decided to go with MTE for their personal approach. They drove my car... Did all the readings and based on that writing the remap. Is taking longer and testing my patience to the max.. :)

But Friday is the day I hope..
Am planning to do a dyno run in a few weeks to see the numbers ;)

Would the upgrade void your warranty though?

Don't forget that even if you have a soft loader and remove the update before servicing, the dealer can still tell its been fiddled with, call it a black box recorder if you will...

Just a thought.

Yes I know :)
It's a risk of course.. But in the end all related how you treat you car....
Planning to cut maintenance interval in half for oil checks / change and such..

Also there are quite a few tuners that offer warranty for the tuning and such.. But never need to pay as things don't break..
