I am looking to upgrade the older sensus system to the newer sensus connect and wanted to know what hardware i need to purchase for this?

It's a lot easier to buy a newer car with it fitted.
The Head units are coded to the car for security purposes, so you can't just take a new head unit and fit it. Also the connectors are different.

You can get aftermarket android auto kits from AliExpress so worth considering those too
