So I am interested to see what gains you got from your ECU remap...
Had mine done, with own specs, currently thinking of having it redone for more power. Do not want to go over the 440/450nm max for the gearbox.

D3 - 5pot - Auto (dpf deleted, and speed limiter)
131kw / 176HP
413nm tq

Mine it's a 2017 V40:
D2 - 4pot 2.0 VEA - Manual (clear the speed limiter and installed intake performance filter)
119kw / 159HP
369Nm torque

Originally was 120HP and 280Nm.

V40 T4 2017 geartronic: from 190hp / 300Nm to 220hp / 374Nm (restricted because of the 6-speed geartronic). Remapped by APEC in Belgium.

im alsoplanning to map my d2VEA!
How long are you using it tuned? Do you have any issues since then?
How it feels?
Remapped it since 6 months.
No issues at all. It's perfect! The gains are impressive in those D2 versions with small turbo.
And it's reliable as stock... because original map are restricted.
So responsive to the pedal, more torque available in low rpm's, power is progressive... they also remap the pedal sensibility in all rpm range. That feels much more untied and without speed limiter also.
You won't regret.
Choose a well known and professional reprogrammer to do it, volvo's are a little bit tricky...

V40 T5, Polestar remap: from 245 hp / 350 Nm to 254 hp / 400 Nm. It looks like not much of a gain but it also tuned my 8-speed Geartronic so it's much more flexible in the middle power range and fun to drive.

I'm exactly the same as mhron.
Peak power/torque doesn't go up much, but that's at maximum revs anyway so not much use.
Mid-range is increased a reasonable amount so it's noticeably better to drive and the 8-speed gearbox changes are not only quicker but well-matched to the new power map, it's all very satisfactory.

5 cylinder D3 polestar mapped to D4 spec.

HP up from 150 to 177 and torque from 350 to 400.

There are some Volvo dealers doing low cost polestar upgrades, I’ve seen them before for around £500.
