Has anyone got or downloaded a decent workshop manual for the V40. Mine is a 2014 T3.
If so can you post a link where to buy (or email it to me for free:grin2:)
Thanks

Search for VIDA 2014D. Sellers on eBay or you can find download links on the Swedespeed forums. Easiest install is if you can find it packages as a complete virtual machine.

No it isn't. Part of it is a full diagnostic and communications function if you connect it to your car with a Volvo DICE VCI. But you can run it without ever doing that, and still have access to full service and repair information, technical documentation, parts manuals and exploded diagrams, special tool lists, etc.

It is probably the only way you will get any form of workshop manual for your car, and luckily also the most comprehensive. It is the last available version before Volvo moved to a completely online portal that you would have to pay a small fortune to access if you met their criteria.

OK, Managed to get that on a stick and it took about three years to run, so have bought a DVD off Fleabay. Will see if that works.
Has anyone got a volvo service tick sheet they can send me for a 2014 v40? Job over xmas to service it.

This is for petrol VEA engine cars. I imagine yours will be very similar. If you know your engine code I can see if it is in my copy of VIDA.

Nowadays is very easy to find something, all the time the internet comes in help but it can give the wrong information at the same time. It is very hard to understand what is correct and what is wrong. Some months ago I needed the repair manual for the truck because I wanted to know what there are the limits of one piece in the engine and I checked many sites of manuals until I came across a good one. Thanks guys for the service manual because some days ago I bought a Volvo v40 for my daughter and I want to read it.

Hi! I'm desperately looking for a service program for my V40. The engine variant is B4154T5, has anyone got a service program for this car? I'd be so glad. Thanks! :)

So you registered on volvodiag.com and downloaded the file?

The best place to ask is on the Swedespeed thread that I linked to above. I downloaded VIDA several years ago when it was directly hosted via Swedespeed and didn't need a password.

But from reading the thread, I'm assuming the password that is emailed to you when you register on volvodiag.com is the one that you use to extract the archive. A couple of points in the thread - you MUST use 7-zip to extract the archive. And if you are copying and pasting the password from the email, be careful that you are not including blank spaces before or after the password.

You can find Vida2014D elsewhere, eBay for instance, but the sellers tend to charge for it there.

Yes, i made the registration, download the file, all done, but- to extract file system asked the password. On that same site, where is download link, says: enter volvodiag.com to password box... I done few times, nothing happen... Enter the site register password, same think... Doesnt work. May system admin change the password?
