Hi all,
Need a bit of a second opinion. Being a serial Volvo owner I have come across most problems but recently I have been left stumped by my D4 V40 as in the last 6 months it has developed a bit of an issue, just after the car is started and I put it into either reverse or drive and set off the car seems to hesitate almost like the engine is being starved of fuel. On two or three occasions it has caused the car to stall. The car never does this from cold start but usually after it has been driven and there is still some residual heat in the engine block. The car did go and see the people at Strathmore Volvo who laptoped it and said it was throwing no faults but they did look physically and found the oxygen sensor in the exhaust was sooted up and they cleaned it. Now that did seem to settle symptoms for about 2.5 weeks but then they reared their head again. The car doesn't do it every time it is driven but the problem is becoming more and more persistent, I must also add that once the car is out on the road in motion it is completely fine and still pulls like a train. The car is booked to go back in again this Friday and was wondering if anybody could give me some information to go in armed with.
