Appologies, didn't mean to sound the way it did.
Well chiptivo, it didn't sound the way you think it sounded . In other words: never mind.

.. 're the tow bar cap, my OCD is twitching as it is not on straight and level..
Thanks for mentioning. I straight away picked up my plumb rule, ran to the car and leveled it (both vertical and horizontal). Thank you, thank you! :grin2:

Welcome to the forum & congrats on the new ride V40OceanRacer :)
I'm sure you'll log many happy miles together!

Love that shade of blue... It really nails the deep ocean blue!

Good thing the V40 is such a great car to drive tho cos I'm pretty sure it'll suck hard as an ocean racer >:)

There is a small Ocean Race badge on both sides. That is the only exterior "difference". However the Ocean Race standard comes with some 'extras':
- Panoramic sunroof
- Leather seats
- Xenon lights with active bending
- Heated front seats
- Heated front windscreen
- Rear parking camera
- Power driver seat
- Autodimming rearview mirror
- Active TFT Crystal Driver's Information Display
- Ocean Race trim

Would have to admit to being slightly miffed that Volvo claim that they began stripping R-Design badging off the V40 because owners didn't want it & then they punch out the Ocean Race model with Ocean Race badging inside & out!!

WTF???
You can't have it both ways Volvo :s

I'm over losing the R-Design logo from my front seats now as it certainly wasn't the end of the world but will admit to being pretty pee'd off when my dealer told me mine wouldn't get them.
I suppose I should be grateful I at least got the grille badge which I believe is also being dropped...

It seems to me they have shot their own argument in the foot though...

Interesting - I thought that the Ocean Race models came with the rather swanky Portunus alloys (mine did) - the photo of ours (left) was taken on winter wheels/tyres:

Certainly the colour is particularly attractive. Ours was the first one delivered in the Basel area. Some time after we got ours, I drove down to the dealer to pick something up, and was slightly amazed to see our exact twin emerge. "Did you see it?" said the salesman, " the lady saw one, which had to be yours, in the Migros car park and had to have that colour!"

Here in The Netherlands only the V40CC Ocean Race comes with Portunus alloys. Very unfortunate, I must say. I am considering FREJA 17" dark grey, but I'm not sure yet. As said before I hate alloys with a lot of spokes 'cause I don't like the cleaning/polishing.

Those Portunus Rims that "tones" have look great....!!!
I'm trying to find a set for my new V40 Cross Country (705 Biarritz Blue) in Phuket Thailand. Looking at the 18" x 8" .......if I can find them.
I have the dealership in Phuket looking overseas. The 100% Tax and Duty in Thailand is going to hurt though........Ouch...!!!
I realise this is in far-off Switzerland, but I offer it in case it might help:

Being staggeringly old-fashioned and, well, just plain old, I wanted a full-sized spare to take with me on long trips - the last thing I wanted was to be stuck in the middle of France en route to the Channel and reliant only on a space-saver. Volvo Schweiz was monstrously expensive, but I got a single 17" Portunus rim from these folk at half the Volvo official price.

Very nice indeed!! :)
Would have given that colour very serious consideration had it been available on the R when ordering... Not too dark, not too light!!

Hope you log many happy km's in her!
